Hi, my name is Emma Reed and I run the Green Nest Living Blog, a brand new website designed to bring together an abundance of home and garden ideas. I have been a blogger now for around 9 years over at www.emmareed.net which covers many lifestyle topics including parenting, travel, days out and eco living but I have now decided to create a space where I can showcase and share my love of all things related to the home.

The Idea Behind The Name

I chose Green Nest Living because I have a passion for living as green as I possibly can (in a modern world) and I feel as though I am constantly feathering our nest to make it truly reflect our family and to also make it work for us.

A Little About Our Home

I have been a homeowner now for 14 years and even though we purchased a fairly new build, I’ve been gradually putting my stamp on our house and transforming the feel to a homely, country cottage one with a modern twist. It’s been a great home to learn some basic DIY skills on but I am kinda itching to get my hands on a slightly bigger project and as our house is currently on the market, things may begin to change very shortly – so stay tuned!

One of the main reasons for wanting to make a move is the garden. As we all know, newer houses tend to come with small gardens and it was our only compromise when we bought it. I have lovingly brought life into our small green space, I have created sections for everyone to enjoy, added two small ponds and started to grow my own but we have now definitely made the most of what we have and are very ready to find a home with a garden we can get a bit more from.

With this blog I will be sharing things we have carried out, ideas I love, ideas for the future and plenty of inspo for you to explore.
